Goal
The Multiperiod Accounting (MPA) feature in the Subledger Accounting (SLA) enables users to create accounting entries in more than one accounting period for a single accounting event. There are many scenarios where accounting for a single transaction spans multiple accounting periods. For example, prepaid expenses are distributed over multiple accounting periods as they are actually incurred. This document explains the setup steps to implement the multi-period accounting functionality in the SLA.
