Is a Serial Number Required When Creating a Repair Order? (Doc ID 1404365.1)

When creating a repair order for a serialized item, there is a field to capture the (to be repaired) serial number in the Details tab of the Repair Workbench (CSDREPLN). In some business processes, the serial number is not known until the item is actually received. Is it required to capture the serial number on the repair order when saving it?
