Single Master Organization and Multiple Operating Units Setup.
See below example:
There are two operating units: US & CAD. The master inventory organization is defined under the US operating unit (OU). Users setup up the 2nd organization under the CAD OU and would like to use the same master organization. The same master organization can be picked in the organization parameters for the new CAD organization.
However, when navigating to Setup > Organizations > Financial Options, the only existing choices for Inventory Organization on the Supplier > Purchasing tab are the other CAD organizations.
Is it possible to have multiple Operating Units (OU) sharing for the same Master Inventory Organization.
Caveat before you begin:
- If the master organization is to be shared across multiple OU's, it should be a PURE master org and not have any transactions.
- The master org should not be used for any material transactions if it belongs to multiple operating units.
