Symptoms

Attempting to use the Credit Memo API (AR_CREDIT_MEMO_API_PUB.CREATE_REQUEST) and receive the following error:

The entered values for the descriptive flexfield are invalid

This is happening for invoices imported with autoinvoice. The problem appears because they have flexfields populated.
