R12: CE: System Shows "Error: Please Enter The Account Type" While Defining a Bank Account (Doc ID 1411724.1)

Symptoms


When attempting to define a bank account, the following error message is shown:

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Navigate Setup->Banks->Bank Accounts, Cash management responsibility
  2. Click on "Create" button
  3. Select country "Japan"
  4. Select value for bank name
  5. Select value for branch name
  6. Click on "Continue" button
  7. Select value for bank account owner
  8. Select value for account use
  9. Click on "Next" button
  10. Define all mandatory bank account details and click on "Save and Next" button
  11. System shows error "Please enter the account type."
