Unexplained Batch Close Variance When Item Costs are Copied (Doc ID 1416459.1)

Last updated on MAY 06, 2020

Applies to:

Oracle Process Manufacturing Financials - Version 12.1.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Unable to explain variances that are seen in the Subledger- arising out of closing Batches when using Standard Costing.  For some Batches, although YLD and USG may exist and are reported in the Variances' reports, these are not seen in the postings to the Subledger.  However, other Batches have the YLD and the USG Variances reported in the Subledger.  The situation is erratic as the subledger postings for two identical batches may not be the same.

Although, this issue cannot be reproduced at will, there are quite a few Batches in the system with this issue.

In general the postings to the Subledger cannot be explained for some Batches.

- Profile ‘GMF: Subledger Variance Type’ is set to ‘Scale To Actual’
