Can Work Confirmations (WC) Be Created Programmatically Using ROI - Receiving Open Interface? (Doc ID 1435396.1)

Last updated on APRIL 20, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle iSupplier Portal - Version 12.1.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Is it possible to create Work Confirmations (WC) automatically? Does the ROI - Receiving Open Interface support WC creation?

Example:  Use the Receiving Open Interface (ROI) to create new work confirmation records for Complex Purchase Orders

Replication Steps:

1. Insert records into the rcv_headers_interface using data like:

RECEIPT_SOURCE_CODE VENDOR
ASN_TYPE WC
SHIPMENT_NUM <Work Confirmation Shipment Number>

2. Insert records into the rcv_transactions_interface using data like:

INTERFACE_SOURCE_CODE ISP
TRANSACTION_TYPE RECEIVE
SHIPMENT_NUM <Work Confirmation Shipment Number>

3. Run the Receiving Transaction Processor, for example for Advance Shipment Notices (ASNs) from suppliers.

At this moment all rows are processed without error and the Work Confirmations (WC) seems created without any problems.

Oracle Supply Chain Management APIs and Open Interfaces Guide Release 12
Part No. B40113-02
and
<Note:290489.1> (New Receiving Open Interface (ROI) Functionality in
Procurement Family Pack J/11.5.10) does not mention if importing WC receipt by ROI is supported.
