OPM Financials (GMF) : Overview of Differences Between Rel 11i and Rel 12 (Doc ID 1438296.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 26, 2020

Applies to:

Oracle Process Manufacturing Financials - Version to 12.1.3 [Release 11.5 to 12.1]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

This Article summarizes some of the common questions which arise when an Oracle Applications environment which includes Process Manufacturing Financials is upgraded from Release 11i to Release 12.

While it provides outline answers to these questions, it is primarily a place-holder for an Advisor Webcast which was broadcast in December 2011 and which discusses the differences in more detail with example screenshots.

A recording of that Webcast can be accessed here, or alternatively the Powerpoint deck used for the presentation can be seen here.

The questions raised in the Webcast described here do assume previous familiarity with the OPM Costing and Manufacturing Accounting Controller (MAC) setup required in Release 11i to manage Item Costs, carry out  Period End processing and post the results to the Oracle General Ledger application.
