Proration on Pre-Tax Deduction Elements Results in Zero Deduction Amount (Doc ID 1444925.1)

Symptoms

A Pre-Tax Deduction Element is setup with 'Entry Changes For Proration' for Proration Group and there is no Proration Formula attached. Element Entry is changed on the middle of the pay period. When Quick Pay or Payroll is run, the resulting deduction amount is coming out zero.  The Pre-Tax Deduction element Fast Formula is not customized.



Steps to Reproduce:

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Create a pre-tax deduction with proration group attached
  2. Make a change to the deduction amount in the middle of the pay period
  3. Run payroll and see that the proration results are zero for both proration periods
