Throwing Error Of Tablespace Inspite Of Having 2gb Free Space (Doc ID 1446486.1)

Symptoms


On : 12.1.1 version, Transaction Control

Order Header remain in 'Booked' status, It does not changed to 'Closed'.
run the Workflow background request but lines are still in shipped status.
Workflow shows the following error,

ERROR
Exception Error -1654 ORA-01654: unable to extend index
APPLSYS.WF_ITEM_ACTIVITY_STATUSES_N1 by 16 in tablespace APPS_TS_TX_IDX

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1.Enter the Sales Order
2.Book the Sales Order
3.Run the “Workflow Background Process”
4.Launch and run the “Material Transaction“ Interface Manager

Due to this issue, users cannot close order <order number>.
