Symptoms

Error creating quote that contains a contact who is inactive on the Account Layer.

Details of the Account Layer and Party Layer: <note 829286.1> Oracle Trading Community Architecture 'Account Layer'and 'Party Layer'

Error

The Sold-To contact for this customer is inactive. Please choose a different Sold-To contact.
Invalid Contact for Given Customer Account

Steps to Reproduce
  1. Responsibility: Oracle Customers Online
  2. Navigation: Customer
    1. Create customer: xyz Customer
    2. Customer Contact: xyz Contact1 in the party layer
  3. Responsibility: Oracle Quoting
  4. Navigation: Quote
    1. Create a Quote for the customer and add contact xyz Contact1 to the quote
    2. Save
    3. When the quote is saved, a record is automatically created in the Account Layer for the Contact
  5. Responsibility: Oracle Customers Online
  6. Navigation: Customer
    1. Inactivate the contact on the Account Layer
      • Query customer xyz Customer
      • Accounts > Account Contacts > xyz Contact1 > Remove
  7. Responsibility: Oracle Quoting
  8. Navigation: Quote
    1. Create a new quote for customer xyz Customer
    2. Add contact name xyz Contact1 on the quote
    3. Receive Error
