R12 Upgrade: Can Not Update Duplicate Bank Accounts Created After 11i Migration (Doc ID 1453070.1)

Symptoms

Scenario 1: merge duplicate Bank and Branch and will bring all duplicate Bank account numbers of the merged bank branch together

Scenario 2: Duplicate Internal Bank Accounts have been created during upgrade from 11i to R12

Scenario 3: On : 12.1.3 version, Bank
Bank Account in 11i was created twice for CAD and USD. The account is inactive in for USD and active in CAD. When attempting to update get the message below.,
