Payables (AP) patches encounter FV sql script errors or create invalid FV objects (Doc ID 1455162.1)

Oracle Payables - Version 12.0.0 to 12.1.3 [Release 12.0 to 12.1]
Information in this document applies to any platform.


Symptom 1:  FV objects become invalid after applying a patch e.g FV_FACTS_TRX_V APPS, FV_SLA_PROCESSING_PKG, etc...

Symptom 2:  FV sql script errors during patch application e.g.

adpatch log shows:

FAILED: file fv_data_cleanup.sql on worker  8 for product fv  username FV.

ATTENTION: All workers either have failed or are waiting:

FAILED: file fv_data_cleanup.sql on worker  1

adwork001.log shows:

sqlplus -s APPS/*****
PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.

prorate_charge = NVL(prorate_charge, 'N');

ERROR at line 33:
ORA-6550: line 33, column 33:
PL/SQL: ORA-904: "PRORATE_CHARGE": invalid identifier
ORA-6550: line 31, column 5:
