Advanced Collections Allows User To Dispute An Amount Higher Than The Line Total (Doc ID 1455360.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 08, 2018

Applies to:

Oracle Advanced Collections - Version 11.5.10.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Users are able to dispute 1 line, multiple times, for an amount higher than the line total.

Changes

 In Advanced Collections, users are able to dispute 1 invoice line, multiple times, for an amount higher than the line total.

The system should not allow the invoice line to be disputed for an amount greater than the line amount.

Example:
Invoice1
 - Line 1 = $100
 - Line 2 = $200

A dispute can be submitted, for 'Specific Invoice Lines' for the following, all for Line 1:
  Dispute1 = 50
  Dispute2 = 60
  Dispute3 = 70
  -- so Line 1 is dispute for $180 when the line amount is only $100.  This causes problems in the credit memo workflow.

If a dispute is submitted for 101.00 on Line 1, it correctly errors with 'cannot submit more than the line amount'.
