Context Field Not Getting Auto-populated When Customer Type 'PERSON' Is Selected

A Context Sensitive Descriptive Flexfield (DFF) has been created on the 'Create Customer (Organization / Person)' screen in Oracle Receivables.
The DFF is based on the 'Customer Type' field.
When users select the Customer Type = Organization, the Context Field gets defaulted and auto-populates as 'Organization' and corresponding DFF attribute is visible.
However when users select the Customer Type = 'PERSON' and click on create button, the Context field is not getting auto-populated as 'PERSON'.
Instead users get a drop down to select the Context value.
The requirement and expected behavior is that the context should be auto-populated in both the cases. The context based DFF is enabled using Flex Maps.
Responsibility: Receivables Manager
Navigation: Customers > Customers
In Customers Search page, change the Customer Type from Organization to 'Person'
Click the Create button to create a new customer
The Create Person screen appears
Under Person Information region, the Context Value field is blank, it's not populated with 'Person'.
Click on the drop down list, it shows: Organization, Person. Users have to select 'Person' from the drop down list.
