Order Created From Claim Settlement Was Created With Wrong Order Date

Symptoms
Created claim on 12/20/2011. Requested approval on 12/20/2011. Approver did extensive research over the next few months to determine validity of the claim. It was eventually approved on 3/14/2012. The claim was settled with an RMA, which was created on 3/14/2011 with an Order Date = 12/20/2011.
This caused issues when trying to run Autoinvoice because the DEC-2011 period was closed.
We believe the order should have been created with an ORder Date = 3/14/2012, the date it was approved.
