Symptoms

On Test and Prod:  12.1.3 version, FORMS User Interface

When attempting to place an order, the following error occurs.

APP-236049: There is an error in order submission

 

Debug Log File error

ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error: character string buffer too small

Steps to Reproduce
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Responsibility: Oracle Quoting Sales Agent FORMS (custom responsibility)
  2. Navigation: Quote
  3. Query Quote
  4. Click the "place order" button 
  5. Receive error
