What is the Impact of Payroll/SLA Setup on SLA with Financials? (Doc ID 1466876.1)

Last updated on JULY 17, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Payroll - Version 12.1.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

You are using the Seeded Sub-Ledger Accounting Method: "Encumbrance Accrual" for Financials (Assests, Receivables, Payables,Cash Management). But when Payroll/SLA is added, it's not creating SLA entries in the system.

This is because you have the the incorrect setup for Payroll / SLA.

Based on guidance from Support, you are changing your Payroll/SLA setup:  you should not modify the SEEDED entities ie. Journal Line Definitions, Application Accounting Definition, Method), rather you should copy those & set them up specific to your business.

How will the change of Sub-Ledger Accounting Method (SLAM) for the Payroll/SLA setup impact Financials' use of SLA?
