Last updated on MARCH 08, 2019

Applies to:

Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Cycle Count adjustments for trackable assets do not interface with Fixed Assets (FA). The transaction is deemed as complete, the instance is expired in OAT but there is no interface with FA.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
The cycle count adjustment which expires an instance must also generate the records to retire the asset from FA

WORKAROUND
-----------------------
The asset can be retired separately, but this represents loss of OAT functionality.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1) Create an IB trackable depreciable Normal Item
2) Perform Misc Receipt to Inventory
3) Run create accounting concurrent request
4) Run Create Assets : Interface Inventory Transactions to Oracle Assets
5) Run Post mass additions program
6) Perform a cycle count transaction with -ve quantity
7) Run Create Assets: Interface Inventory Transactions to Oracle Assets
8) Run Interface Move Transactions to Oracle Assets program
9) Check which program had processed the transaction and completed it.
11) Check the asset retirements, nothing is found.
