How To Prevent The Pick Release Items Not Reserved Due To Scheduling Was Outside The Reservation Time Fence? (Doc ID 1479021.1)

Goal

For the business, all items are mandated to be ATP enabled. The same is set up as well. The concept of reservation is also used. Reservation time fence is set to 5 Days. When booking the Order then the Orders based on the Request date will get reserved first.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
  1. The Scheduled Ship Date is on 19th June 2012. I am performing the Pick Release on 07th June 2012. No exception message is there. Should we be getting some  exception message while performing the Pick Release?
  2. While performing the Pick Release, even though the Item was not reserved,  the Pick Release action has been completed successfully.
  3. The Move Order Transaction also performed as well as the Pick  Confirmation also done.
  
  How should Pick Release be run so it will pick only delivery lines for which a reservation exists against corresponding order line.
