Customer Form Issue: Unable To Change Profile Class At Customer Level

Information in this document applies to any platform.
After upgrading from 11.5.10 to 12.1.3, users are attempting to change the Profile Class at the account level and receive a message that changing this class will make changes to this customer. They answer 'Yes', however the change does not take place.
The original value still displays in the Profile Class field.
Users then save the record and still no update to the profile class.
This same functionality works at the line level.
No form personalization has taken place.
Responsibility: Receivables Manager
Navigation: Customers > Customers > Query a Customer
Click on Account Details
Select Account Profile Tab
Change the existing profile
A warning message appears:
Selecting a new Profile Class will cause all values, including Currency Rates and Limits and Late Charges settings, to be set to the default for the newly selected Profile Class. Are you sure you want to change the Profile Class?
Expect to see the new profile. However, the original one still defaults.
Click Apply or Save anyway. The old profile class still displays for this customer.
