Multiple Currency Question: Can Approval Setups be Used Across Different Legal Entities when Different Currencies are Used? (Doc ID 1484190.1)

Last updated on APRIL 04, 2025

Applies to:

Oracle Purchasing - Version 11.5.10.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

A new Legal Entity: Taiwan LE, Operating Unit (OU) was created with Legal Entity and operating unit at the same level. This Legal Entity has functional currency of Taiwan Dollars. At present, Requisition and Purchase Order workflows are in US Dollars (Approval limits are defined in US dollars). AME is not used.

Question:
Does Oracle have Requisitions and Purchase order approvals workflows that allows for different currencies (in this case, Taiwan Dollars)?  Rather can approval setups be used across these two different legal entities (US and Taiwan) when different currencies are used and what would be the setup?

Note: In the example above two Operating Units with two different currencies are being used (Taiwan and United States (US)), which could vary per customer need.
