Health Savings Account (HSA) Catchup Not Defaulting For Newly Eligible Employees (Doc ID 1486780.1)

Symptoms

Employees age 55+ are eligible for the plan HSA Catchup. For employees not eligible in 2012 but are newly eligible for Open 2013 the HSA Catchup plan is not defaulting onto employee's benefit record. Once Open is processed and default ran, the following error message is generated: BEN_91593_OPT_ENRD_LT_MN_RQD ERROR Total of 0 options is less than the minimum of 1 options required. Plan name: HSA Catchup.

Steps to Reproduce:
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Query a newly eligbile employee.
  2. Process Open 2013. Run the Default Enrollment Process OR manually save in the Benefit Enrollment Form.
  3. Once Open is processed and default ran, the following error message is generated:
