EGO_CHANGE_USER_ATTRS_PUB Program Fails With "ORA-6502 PL/SQL numeric Or Value Err: Char String Buffer Too Small" (Doc ID 1490485.1)

Error is generated by EGO_USER_ATTRS_DATA_PVT.Process_User_Attrs_Data when Debug is turned on.

On analysis we found that this is caused by the variable definition l_output_dir VARCHAR2(512); in the procedure EGO_USER_ATTRS_DATA_PVT.Set_Up_Debug_Session which is called by the API when it is invoked with debug level > 0. The length of the utl_file_dir in v$parameter where we are getting this error id 554 characters.

On further analysis we found that a similar issue was addressed by the Patch 10255150 which is related to version


 EBS Upgrade or Database Upgrade
