When Using Kewill, OTM is Incorrectly Applying the Cost Charge Type as "D" (Discount) when Gaining Rate results in OTM (Doc ID 1493464.1)

Last updated on MAY 06, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Transportation Management - Version 6.2.5 to 6.2.7 [Release 6.2]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

On : 6.2.5 version, Contract and rate management

When doing a Rate Inquiry (RIQ) from OTM using DHL Carrier for International Shipments originating from US to various countries (Kewill is used as an external parcel rating engine), Kewill is sending the correct response but OTM is applying the cost charge type as D, which is discount on the Base Cost when displaying the Rate result.

OTM is displaying different rate result to that which Kewill had provided.

For example, OTM RIQ Result screenshot total value displays as 23.30 with a record of -20 as discount. The Kewill UI rate result shows the total freight charge as 43.30.

The expectation is that OTM RIQ Result should show the total value as 43.30. This would require the -20 record (which is appearing in the RIQ as discount) should not get applied which will make the total value as 43.30 (in line with the Kewil calculated rate)

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Navigate to Rate Inquiry page and enter the source and destination and carrier as DHL
2. Click on Submit
3. Review Results
