What is being announced?

As of July 2016, Oracle is announcing a new update for E-Business Suite Release 12.1.  Previous updates are described in more detail in the following sections.

July 2016: E-Business Suite Release 12.1: Premier and Extended Support Dates Change

As per the July 2016 update to the Lifetime Support Policy: Oracle Applications, this release version is in Premier Support. The following is a Support Policy update for this release version:

September 2013: E-Business Suite Release 12.1: Premier and Extended Support Dates Change 

Premier Support for E-Business Suite Release 12.1 has been extended by 31 months from May 2014 to December 2016.  In addition, the Extended Support period for Release 12.1 has been extended by an additional year and will now go through December 2019.
      
Uplift fees are waived for all years of Extended Support (January 2017 – December 2019) for customers with an active Oracle Premier Support for Software contract. Customers are recommended to have the minimum prerequisites as documented in Appendix A as identified in Doc ID 1195034.1 - E-Business Suite Error Correction Support Policy.

Please note that this is an update to the Extended Support date changes announced in October 2012, which moved the Extended Support date to December 2018.

September 2013: E-Business Suite 11.5.10: Sustaining Support Exception

The E-Business Suite Release 11.5.10 (11i10) Sustaining Support Exception is now provided through December 2015.  This exception which is designed to support stable operations on 11.5.10 while an upgrade is completed, provides additional services beyond Sustaining Support for the first 25 months of Sustaining Support on E-Business Suite Release 11.5.10 (11i10), and is valid from December 1, 2013 – December 31, 2015.  It is comprised of these additional components:

    1. New fixes for Severity 1 production issues,
    2. Critical Patch Updates (CPUs), up to and including the October 2015 CPU,
    3. United States Form 1099 2013, 2014 and 2015 year-end updates, and
    4. Payroll regulatory updates for the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, and Australia for each country’s fiscal year ending in 2014. 

Oracle first announced the Sustaining Support Exception in October 2012, with an end date of December 2014.  The December 2015 end date was published in September 2013 in conjunction with the general availability of the E-Business Suite 12.2 release, and was driven by the need from customers who want to upgrade directly to E-Business Suite 12.2.

As per Oracle’s Lifetime Support Policy for Applications, E-Business Suite 11.5.10 is in Extended Support through November 2013. There is an uplift fee waiver for all 3 years of Extended Support through November 2013. As long as customers are current on their Software Update License & Support fees and renewals, their 11.5.10 release version will automatically receive the Severity 1 Production Support Exception to Sustaining Support for 11.5.10. Customers must meet, or be above, the required minimum baseline patch level as identified in Doc ID 883202.1 - Patch Requirements for Extended Support of Oracle E-Business Suite Release 11.5.10.

 

Reminder: E-Business Suite Release 12.0

As per Oracle’s Lifetime Support Policy for Applications, E-Business Suite 12.0 is in Sustaining Support.
