Last updated on JULY 01, 2024
Applies to:
Oracle Project Billing - Version 11.5.10.2 to 12.2 [Release 11.5.10 to 12.2]Information in this document applies to any platform.
Goal
There is a requirement to be able to use something other than system settings (e.g., bill through date) to determine the exchange rate date when an Invoice is created.
They include:
- Making the exchange rate date the same as that used when generating revenue to eliminate reconciling differences
- Making the exchange rate the same as that used when entering a payables expense report to ensure that the customer is billied for the same amount as received by the consultant working at their site for expenses
- When invoice is generated using 'work' based billing - the exchange rate date to be the date on which expense is incurred
