Depreciation Error APP-OFA-47314: Error in routine IAC:Do_Depreciation or APP-OFA-48289 Unknown Error When Adding Asset To IAC-enabled Asset Book. (Doc ID 1497487.1)

Symptoms

Depreciation ends with an error in the IAC code, when closing the period.

In the Depreciation concurrent log file, the following error is seen:-

'APP-OFA-47314: Error: Error in routine IAC:Do_Depreciation'

 

OR

 

When adding an asset to an IAC-enabled asset book, the following error appears on screen;

 

APP-OFA-48289: Unknown Error


These are generic errors which could have several causes, therefore when debugging further using the steps to generate an FND log file, as described in <Note 404102.1>, the following error message can be seen;

IGI.PLSQL.igiiapab.igi_iac_additions_pkg.do_addition Checking for default price index values in catchup periods
fnd.plsql.FND_FILE.WRITE_BUFF.put_line "Inflation Accounting igi_iac_additions_pkg has raised the following exception:

The price indexes are not setu"
