Custom Security Profile Referencing Lookup is not Dynamically Generated (Doc ID 1498964.1)

Last updated on JULY 18, 2016

Applies to:

Oracle Human Resources - Version 12.1.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On 12.1.3 version

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
Security Profile - Not generating dynamic results.

Having set one global security profile which has custom type security (SQL query) where we are using Look up reference in it. The employee number entered in look up decides the permission for manager to employee data.

When the profile is assigned the profile to responsibility it generates the employee list as expected but when the given permissions are removed from Look up it gives following issue,

1. It does not dynamically change the list of employees based upon changes in look up and shows the previously generated employee list.

2. after 20 minutes it shows all the employees (across all BG's)

3. After 2 hours the changes are then reflected.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
Expect the changes to be reflected in SSHR in a matter of minutes not hours.

*** Please note ****
This only affects SSHR when the same is performed in the core application the changes are reflected in the expected timeframe.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Update a global security profile for it to change permissions.
