Symptoms
On Application Release 12.1.3:
When clicking on Material Requirements button, within an work order, the following error occurs:
ERROR
-----------------------
"FRM-40831: Truncation occurred: value too long for field CONTACT_NAME"
According to customer's findings, this is happening when material requirements are for direct items which having support contact name more than 15 characters.
STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Navigate to Work Orders form;
2. Query for an work order having material requirements direct items;
3. Click on Material Requirements button
BUSINESS IMPACT
-----------------------
The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot properly view/update material requirements.
