Caution Message no Longer Displays When Changing the Absence Duration Default Before Saving (Doc ID 1503832.1)

Last updated on JUNE 29, 2021

Applies to:

Oracle Human Resources - Version 12.1 HRMS RUP5 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.
***Checked for relevance on 23-MAR-2015***

Since applying 12.1 RUP5, the system does not give warning message when default absence days or hours are changed before saving the record.
Also the system reverts the change back and the default absence duration is saved, not the changed value.

1. expect system to give warning that value entered is difference from the actual time absent
2. expect system to save the changed value

Use responsibility : Absence Administration
Navigation :absence + to create new absence record absence type 'Annual Leave Accrual 1'
3.enter actual start date 25-SEP-2012 and actual end date 26-SEP-2012, find duration field defaults to 2 days
4. change duration to 3
no warning message pops up
5. save
the record is saved but the duration defaults back to 2 days

This was working fine before applying 12.1 HRMS RUP5.
Profile option "HR: Absence Duration Auto Overwrite" is set to No
