Symptoms
Followed the steps documented in the OA Framework Developers Guide to implement virus checking on uploaded files using Symantec anti-virus software. However for all uploaded files the following message is returned:
Checked following:
- Relevant profile options are set correct
FND_ANTIVIRUS_SERVER = <server running SYMANTEC server>
FND_ANTIVIRUS_SOFTWARE = SYMANTEC
- It's confirmed the request for checking the file is passed to SYMANTEC server
- Using a network sniffing tool capturing the network data between Applications and SYMANTEC server confirms this returns the expected response code:
ICAP/1.0.204 response - 'No Virus Detected' returned for files having no virus or violation policies
ICAP/1.0.200 response - 'Virus detected' returned for files violating policies
