Will a Credit Review Be Initiated In Credit Management When Credit Card Hold Applied By Credit Card Authorization Failure Hold in Order Management? (Doc ID 1508880.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 03, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Credit Management - Version 12.1.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

We understand that the Credit Management review is initiated when a credit hold is applied during regular credit check failure hold (due to Credit limit exceeding credit exposure).  Additionally, we have a process to process credit cards during Order creation process.  Credit card details are captured during order creation time and there can be situations where the credit card authorization fails during the process.
Due to that we have the following questions:

1. If credit card details are captured before the order is booked, for example during Sales Order Entry, will a credit authorization failure result in a credit hold during order booking?

2. In case a credit card is applied on hold, will Credit Management's Credit review process be initiated in this case?
