Symptoms

When attempting to run Calculate Gains and Losses to process retirements, the following error occurs:

ORA-01476: divisor is equal to zero
Error: function FA_INS_ADJUST_PKG.fadoact returned failure
Error: function FA_INS_ADJUST_PKG.faxinaj returned failure
Error: function FA_GAINLOSS_UPD_PKG.farboe returned failure
Error: function FA_GAINLOSS_UPD_PKG.fagpdp returned failure
User-Defined Exception
Error: function FA_GAINLOSS_UPD_PKG.fagpdp returned failure
FAGPDP: Fail to insert Depreciation adjustments for asset XXXXX

Cause: You have a database problem.
Action: Contact your system administrator.

FAGRET: Fail to retire asset XXXXX

Cause: You have a database problem.
Action: Contact your system administrator.

Error: function FA_GAINLOSS_PKG.do_calc_gainloss_asset returned failure
Retirement ID: XXXXXX Asset Number: XXXXX --> ** Failed **
