AGIS: Cannot Derive Initiator Distribution Account When Automatic Distribution Is Used (Doc ID 1514023.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 26, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle General Ledger - Version 12.1.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.
Advanced Global Intercompany System (AGIS)

You created a Transaction Account Definition (TAD) with Account Derivation Rules (ADR) assigned for deriving Distribution Accounts for the Initiator and the Recipient.
Account Derivation Rules for Initiator Distribution Account are setup with a condition so that the Intercompany segment is derived based on the  Recipient value for the Company segment.
You are using Automatic distribution method.

Observe the following:
1) When creating a transaction, the Distribution Initiator Account defaults to null and the following warning appears.

"No Accounting code combination could be derived using the account derivation rule CL_AGIS_TAD. Please update the account derivation rule or the source values passed to the Transaction Account Builder.
Alternatively user can enter manually."

2) Another potential error that may be received when the TAD is defined to include a condition based on the Recipient Organization value:

"Please verify the total initiator distribution amount matches the batch total"
