UK Self Service Payslip Showing Hours Field With Many Decimal Places (Doc ID 1514800.1)

Last updated on MAY 01, 2018

Applies to:

Oracle HRMS (UK) - Version 12.1.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Have an element input value of 'Enhanced Hours'. This is defined with a format of Hours and Minutes eg 2 hours 40 minutes.. When this is picked in to show on the self service payslip it converts to decimal and shows as 2.666666667.

Is there anyway this value can either show as hours and minutes (as stored) or show as the decimal value but only to 2 decimal places?

Its the element run results/ details that are being displayed on the payslip , not any balance figures.

The issue is occuring because the input value for the element stores the hours as Hours / Minutes and on the payslip they are being displayed as decimal - so for example 2 hours 40 minutes will display as 2.6666666666 - more than 2 dp

The element is displayed in the Element Further Information section

Steps to Reproduce:
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Create the Enhanced Hours element of time HH:MM
2. Add the element to the Element Further Information section on the payslip
3. Add the element to an employee
4. Run Payroll UK, Pre-payments, BACS, Cheque Writter (if necessary), Payslip Generation
5. Check the payslip
