Returning The Cart In Punchout Goes To Login Page And An Error Occurs (Doc ID 1520258.1)

Symptoms

When returning cart from punchout to a supplier site the following error occurs.
If using Chrome or FireFox, no error occurs.
The issue is specific for IE 8 over Windows 7.

Checked already <Note 1239057.1> Using Sun JRE 1.6.0_22 For Forms in E-Business Suite
and already have Disabled 'Protected Mode' in Internet Explorer 8 (Only for Windows Vista and Windows 7)

ensured that the following profiles are set as follows at the Site level:
- FND: Passivation Level = Request
- FND: Session Timeout Recovery Enabled = Yes
- ICX:Session Timeout = 30 (at least)

STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Go to iProcurement
2. Click on Supplier punchout
3. When returning to iProcurement the item, user is prompted to log in.
4. User logs in and then the error occurs.
