Symptoms
On OTM version 6.3.0 version.
When attempting to use or create a Quick Code in the Tracking Event UI (User Interface), one of the following error occurs.
ERROR
-----------------------
"No root element"
"Quick code is not valid for this action"
STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1 - Logged onto an internal OTM 6.3 system.
2 - Navigated to: Fleet Management > Visibility > Tracking Event.
3 - Clicked NEW.
4 - Next to the field 'Quick Code' clicked on teh 'l' button.
5 - Select any of the public Quick Codes that is listed, I used CPT.
6 - Click Finished.
7 - The window closes and a new error window opens, with the following error:
"No root element"
NOTE: The Tracking even cannot be used from this point.
8 - Repeat steps 2, 3 and 4.
9 - In step 5 select a Quick code that was created by a User (a quick code with a domain name in front of it).
10 - The following error is displayed:
"Quick code is not valid for this action"
11 - Repeat steps two and 3.
12 - Click the 'n' button next to the field Quick Code.
13 - Enter the ID (any ID can be used).
14 - Populate the other required fields.
15 - Click Finished.
16 - The window closes and the following error is displayed:
"Quick code is not valid for this action"
Quick codes cannot be used.
