Symptoms

In R12.1.3, the DQM Serial Sync Index Program remains in Pending status for a long time when multiple users are updating customer information in Customers screen at the same time.

The work around is to set the profile option 'Concurrent: Active Request Limit' to a number, say '10000' at the User level, then the pending "DQM Serial Sync Index Program" will complete immediately.

The concurrent request DQM Serial Sync Index Program is pending because the profile option 'Concurrent:Active Request Limit' is not set. This profile option controls how many requests a given user may have running at one time.

The Conflict Resolution Manager will release this request when the number of running requests for this user is less than the maximum allowed by the profile option.

The concurrent request DQM Serial Sync Index Program may have to wait on one or more of the following requests to complete before it can begin execution DQM Serial Sync Index Program.

But as there shall be many users, this is not a viable workaround by setting the user profile value to a positive value.

So the code validations if any pending status if the profile Concurrent:Active Request Limit is not set then the value should be derived, the value should be the maximum allocated requests for a concurrent manager
to process.
