Relink From Adadmin Giving Error: libgcc_s.so: undefined reference to `__stack_chk_fail@GLIBC_2.4' (Doc ID 1525823.1)

Symptoms

After install or upgrade to 12.1,

When attempting to relink executables:

adadmin

1.    Maintain Applications Files menu

2.    Relink Applications programs

the following error occurs.

See error messages above (also recorded in log file) for possible
reasons for the failure. Also, please check that the Unix userid
running adrelink has read, write, and execute permissions
on the directory $AD_TOP/bin,
and that there is sufficient space remaining on the disk partition
containing your Oracle Applications installation.

 
The error occurs for several executables.
