Last updated on APRIL 04, 2025

Applies to:

Oracle Procurement Contracts - Version 12.1.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

In Repository Contracts there is a need to set security between users.

Assume there is employee A in the Finance department and employee B in  the IT department. A and B have the responsibility of entering the data for the contracts for their respective departments.

A created contracts A1, A2, A3 and B created contracts B1, B2, B3.

A and B are entered as restricted in the Contract Access subtab of each other's contracts

A cannot see the B’s contracts in his dashboard
B cannot see the A’s contracts in his dashboard,

However, A can see the B’s contracts if he uses the search functionality. There is a need for further restriction. The result of the search should have only A'a contracts.

The dashboard is limited to only the contracts available for the individuals, but the search region allows search and selection of a restricted Repository Contracts. The b
usiness requirement is that users should not be able to successfully search for contracts created by other users.
