On : 12.0.4 version, Price List Mass Maintenance
When attempting to use price list maintenance for a specific price list and item number
(price list = XXXX/YYYY price list, item number = AAAA), and NOT checking
retain existing date, the following error occurs.
The effective dates for a price list line overlap with another line having effective start date = 03/25/2010 and end date = 05/31/2010.
Within a price list, two price list lines with matching product, UOM, and pricing attributes cannot have overlapping effective dates.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Responsibility: Oracle Pricing Administrator
2. Navigate to: Price List Maintenance
3. Query by:price list and item number
4. Attempt to make a change and or create a new price list line - without selecting retain existing date.
Action: End Date and Create New
Start date is null
--Retain existing start date is not checked
End date is null
--Retain existing end date is not checked.
New Line Start Date: 02/01/2013
Type of Value Change: Amount 1515
The error above is shown.
The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot make the needed change to this price list/item number.
