Symptoms

On Oracle Applications release 12.1.1,
when attempting to apply a patch in pre-install mode in a multi-language environment,
the base language information is incorrect.

The patch log file reflects the following:

adpatch preinstall=y

Enter a list of language codes [US] US ESA


Currently, the following languages are installed:

Code Language
---- ---------------------------------------
US American English
ESA Latin American Spanish

Reading language information from applESA.txt ...

Your base language will be LATIN AMERICAN SPANISH.

Your other languages to install are: AMERICAN
