Create Mobilecomm Tablespace 6.2 Upgrade Scripts Create Files In Local Disk Vs ASM Disk Group (Doc ID 1527941.1)

Last updated on JULY 20, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Transportation Management - Version 6.2.5 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

When running the create_mobilcomm_tablespaces.sql as part of the db upgrade to 6.2, one of the prompts is:

Please enter the directory where you want the data files to be located:

If it is an ASM database, where datafiles are stored on ASM shared storage and not on regular mount points, for datafiles locations one needs to give a diskgroup name like (e.g.) +TTMB_DG .
But the upgrade scripts do not understand this.
It created tablespace files in the local file system, where the binaries of the TTMB database installed.

So the script is not accepting a diskgroup name like +TTMB_DG. Is there a different version of the script?
