Customers Workbench: Query Customers Created by Customer Interface (RACUST) Raises Error - Flexfield Segment Context Value Does Not Exist in the Value Set $FLEX$.DF_CONTEXTS (Doc ID 1531044.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 13, 2021

Applies to:

Oracle Receivables - Version 12.1.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

You imported customers using CUSTOMER INTERFACE concurrent standard program. The import is successful but when you query the customer record in the application, it raises the following error message:

ID XXXX for the flexfield segment Context Value does not exist in the value set $FLEX$.DF_CONTEXTS.
(Where XXX above is a flexfield name.)

Review of the RACUST process shows it inserts the same value into 2 tables:
AR_CUSTOMERS.ATTRIBUTE_CATEGORY and HZ_PARTIES.ATTRIBUTE_CATEGORY.

Review of the customer records created manually via the form have HZ_PARTIES.ATTRIBUTE_CATEGORY = null. These customer records can be queried without errors in the form.
