Service Contract Invoice Text is Changed to ": Start_date: End Date" , if a Free Style Text is Entered (Doc ID 1540899.1)

Last updated on MARCH 08, 2017

Applies to:

Oracle Service Contracts - Version to 12.1.3 [Release 11.5 to 12.1]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Find that Modified Service Contract invoice text is not retained if the Invoice text is freestyle. Saving the contract after Text Update will wipe out the Text and display

": Start_date: End Date" instead.

Expected Behavior:
Expect the Invoice Text to be retained as per free format entered.

Steps to reproduce:
Change the Header Effectivity and test to see the behavior on the Invoice text.
1. Make sure the Invoice Text is freestyle e.g. the same as the Description: "Extended Notebook PC Service Program" and save
2. Change the contract Header effectivity dates.
3. Run Cascade Attribute to pass the new dates to the lines.
-  Find that after successful cascading,  the Invoice Text is changed to the New effectivity dates only ":14-FEB-2013:13-FEB-2015" ignoring the freestyle Text entered.
