Information in this document applies to any platform.

Currently Oracle sends all Balancing Segment Values associated with the Primary Ledger to the Secondary Ledger.

Based on a complex Legal Entity, with Multiple Branches, you are using the Secondary Ledgers for Local Stat GAAP.  Having transactions that do not belong to the specific country can cause issues with the authorities.

You require to stop/block certain balancing segment values flowing from Primary to Secondary Ledgers for Subledger Transactions and GL Transactions.

You have the following scenario:

Primary Ledger BSVs: 101 and 102
Secondary Ledger BSV: 102

Primary Ledger Transaction

BSV  Acct      CC     DR   CR
---    -----     ---       ----  -----
101-10001-000    1500
101-31001-000             1500
102-10001-000      750
102-10001-000              750

Expected Transaction in Secondary Ledger

BSV  Acct      CC     DR   CR
---    -----     ---       ----  -----
102-10001-000      750
102-10001-000              750

As shown in above example you need to stop 101 BSV in Secondary Ledger as the BSV does not belong to this Ledger.
