Information in this document applies to any platform.
User has enabled duplicate Tax Registration Number (TRN) at the tax level ("Allow Duplicate Tax Registration Numbers" is set to Yes), and yet the system is not allowing to enter duplicate TRN for the customers.
When attempting to update TRN for a customer, the following error occurs:-
The tax registration number is already in use for party type: Third Party and party name: <Party Name> for the same period.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Query customer
2. Click on Tax Profile tab
3. Update the TRN to some valid value which is already assigned to some other customer
Due to this issue, users cannot enter duplicate TRN for the customers.
