Last updated on AUGUST 03, 2016

Applies to:

Oracle Applications Translation - Version 12.1.3 to 12.1.3 [Release 12.1]
Information in this document applies to any platform.
Also the same issue for other bidirectional (BiDi) languages, eg. Hebrew.

Goal

The goal is to display data in bidirectional language fields containing mixed text and numerals in the correct order.

To correct the issue of when users query any data that has mixed Arabic text and numerals while their regional settings is "Arabic", the data is displayed incorrectly.

Alternatively phrased: when logged in using US English login language preferences but with Arabic set as the browser and PC locale, fields with characters and numbers are in the wrong places or reversed.

The problem does not occur when using English regional settings or when opening the Arabic interface forms.
