Merged Account Showing Wrong Information In UWQ Screen, Why is That?

We have a bill to account #1 that appears to have been merged into account #2. An Invoice is showing for the merged account. However, in UWQ the old account name and the new account name are both appearing. The old account name shows, but if you go into the account there are no transactions. If you go into the new account name you see the delinquent invoice. Why are both old and new account information showing?
